  • Tell Congress to Stop EPA's Rollback of Toxic Pollution Reporting  

    The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI), our country's source of information on toxic pollution releases, has come under attack by the EPA. The EPA has proposed downsizing the inventory and restricting our right-to-know about toxic emissions in our own neighborhoods.

    The House of Representatives has voted to stop EPA from finalizing the proposals, and now the Senate must weigh in as well. Tell your members of Congress to support all efforts to stop EPA from downsizing the TRI and reducing information used to protect public health and the environment.

  • Federal Chemical Security Bill Passed out of Committee  

    The Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Act of 2006 (H.R. 5695), a bill introduced last month by Rep. Daniel Lungren (R-CA), cleared the House of Reps. Homeland Security Committee on July 27.
